Amy had had a hard day at school. Between her classes, and work (to pay for those classes), she was exhausted. Is this all that life has to offer me, she thought. Is this it? Day after day of this? Of course not, her mind answered back, have you forgot about your James? Oh yes, Amy thinks, he is the one thing helping me through this. And one day, things will be better. Once I finish school and find a job I enjoy, we'll be happy together. Just then, the blare of a car horn jostles her from her musings. It was James, in his sturdy old car, waiting for her. " Hop in Amy, you looked like you've had a long day. Come on, there's some place I want to show you." says James. Sweet, sweet James, thinks Amy. What have I done to deserve you? James drives them to the bridge. Amy follows him to secluded bench overlooking the river and the bridge. Beautiful, she thinks. Just beautiful. James sits besides her, silent an watching her. Amy looks back, thinks will get better, won't they?
